For almost decades after the stages of the ongoing construction -historical survey of the extensive ruins of the castle and the Zvířetice castle (Mladá Boleslav district), it gradually releases its fruits and from the small fragments brought at the beginning, a more complex image begins. In many ways not only different from older interpretations, but also far more complicated. So what do we know about this well -known building today and what does not? And what can we say about its currently most renowned part, which is its western wing? The topic will be presented by the building historian Mgr. Martin Šanda, doc. Ing. Michael Rykl, Ph.D. will complete the findings obtained by partial survey with students of CTU.
Mgr. Martin Šanda is an art historian who, in addition to documentation of buildings and historical surveys across building epochs and typologies, also specializes in Central European Baroque architecture. In addition to the surveys and documentation themselves, he also focuses on publishing and lectures at professional and popular educational levels. His pivotal book is a monograph dedicated to the Viennese architect Anton Erhard Martinelli.
doc. Ing. Michael Rykl, Ph.D. He is a long -time scientific and pedagogical worker of the Institute of Monument Care and the Institute of theory and History of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of CTU. Its specialization are the residential typologies of the Middle Ages and early modern times, historical construction and construction -historical surveys in connection with the issue of monument care. In addition to his pedagogical activities and buildings, he also participated in a number of professional publications.
