About event
Due to great interest, we are repeating the lecture! In addition, it will be supplemented with new attractions, so those who have already been can come again.
..................
Do you know what cherries and “ Klausovka”, where was the runway for airplanes at Petřiny? Or what were palpostas and where were they located in Petřiny? In which supermarket was Mr. Král the manager? Where did you go shopping "before the housing estate"? Who and when initiated the extension of the tram to Petřiny?
You can learn this and much more at the lecture, which is intended both for those who witnessed the beginnings of the housing estate and for everyone who is interested in the history of the place where they live. they want to learn as much as possible.
Just connecting the memories of witnesses and new or younger residents will be part of our meeting over historical plans, photographs, amateur shots edited into a short film.
Questions and memories during the lecture are very welcome this time.
..................
The lecture is part of the MEMORY OF THE PETŘINA HOUSING project, whose main goal is to preserve the history and the memory of one of the oldest panel housing estates in Prague. This involves first collecting and searching for amateur film and photographic material from eyewitnesses who can provide rare records of the settlement as it was created. At the moment, there is a risk of losing these materials, mainly due to intergenerational change.
We will create a digital archive from the collected materials, which will then allow us to create a book, as well as a film documentary as a historical record, which will preserve memories of the past and at the same time serve to deepen cultural identity, enabling current residents to identify with the place where they live and better understand its history and values.
Lecturers: Jana Jemelková and Jiří Hušek / members of the association Spolu na Petřiny, both practicing architects and residents Petřin with an interest in cultivating and deepening awareness of the place where they live.
