Figure widely revered over more than two decades of patient and passionate work, Noah Lennox has been unmistakable to progress and transformations. Throughout this time, it has never been subdued from them, reaping to themselves the signs that were interested in the laminar in new forms of song that had never happened until then.
With the Animal Collective and in a period of smuggiving free wheel creativity, it subverted the rules of POP of this century, coined in classics such as Sung Tongs, Feels or Merryweather Post Pavilion ', continuing a rewriting of this canone through a very personal vision while Panda Bear. After a first (relative) homonymous obscurity and the disarmed and unchanged lyricism of 'Young Prayer', he left us greater work with the acclaimed 'Person Pitch'. Fundamental milestone for his career and many who followed his flow, Person Pitch has started from experimentation with decades and cartographies of the collective consciousness, the psycho -psicultural pop of the 1960s to the Sampling Space, the purity of folk, the shadows to light, to turn it into songs as memorable as it is expansive. Normal that would be continually transmuted into a language always much of yours on albums like 'Tomboy' or 'Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper'. At the same time, and in line with his transverse vision to musical forms, he collaborated with equally visionary names such as Daft Punk, Solange, Dean Blunt or Paramore, in a process of engagement with other genres as honest as bravery.
Linked since 2014 to the imposing Domino Publisher, Lennox arrives in a state of grace to his seventh album in his own name, five years after the release of 'Buays' and with a collaboration with Peter Kember TCP Sonic BOOM of Excelso called 'Reset' to mediate this path. From his name 'Sinister Grift', recorded at his own pace of precious things with his fellow man in Animal Collective Josh "Deakin" DIBB in Lisbon, features very special participation by Cindy Lee, Rivka Ravede of Spirit of the Beehive, Maria Reis, and for the first time on a Panda Bear album of all elements of Animal Collective. New piece of a fascinating mosaic that has been creating, Sinister Grift is like a dream of rock aor as we could never have imagined, but in its comfort and naturalness, flows strangely familiar, without time defined, in a dozen songs that will perpetuate for future collective memory.
For this tour around 'Sinister Grift', Panda Bear performs on stage for the first time with a complete band with Lennox in the voice and electric guitar, Tim Koh on the electric bass, Rivka Ravede in the choirs and electronics, Maria Reis in the choirs and Tomé Silva on the drums.
