Panic Shack en Barcelona

The members of Panic Shack appear from behind, leaning against the bar of a pub, on the cover of their debut album. However, the attitude to life of Sarah Harvey (vocals), Megan Fretwell (guitar), Romi Lawrence (guitar) and Emily Smith (bass) is just the opposite: they have always faced their reality completely head-on. Since there were no women's bands in their native Cardiff, they decided to start one. In fact, Fretwell bought his first guitar when they were on their way to their first rehearsal. Who said imposter syndrome? Harvey's vocal experience was limited to some drama classes at school, but luckily she didn't care and the world gained a frontwoman who shakes up the punk-rock status quo with every appearance. “We want to make sure that other young girls, even those who can't even afford to buy an instrument or take lessons, are inspired,” they have told in an interview about their story.

Of course, all that capacity for inspiration is multiplied live: Panic Shack have every reason to exist on stage. The Welsh band will perform on November 30 in Madrid (Wurlitzer Ballroom) and on December 1 in Barcelona (Upload Room) presenting their self-titled debut.
