PARADIES - Künstlerführung Christian Thoelke BERLIN ART BREAK

Experience the exhibition PARADISE with us in an exclusive tour by the Berlin artist Christian Thoelke.

We are looking forward to a special BERLIN ART BREAK at the Stiftung KUNSTFORUM Berliner Volksbank. There we discover together the current exhibition “PARADISE” by Christian Thoelke – an intensive dialogue between past and present, between art from the GDR and new works by the artist.

The highlight: Christian Thoelke himself will guide us through the exhibition and give exciting insights into his artistic work.

Thoelke, born in East Berlin in 1973, sits down In his paintings he deals with places that once embodied social utopias and are now often abandoned and forgotten. With a precise eye and objective painting style, he captures what is hardly visible in everyday life: relics of socialist urban development that bear traces of an entire era.

In the exhibition, these works resonate with around 60 city views from the Berliner Volksbank art collection - including works by artists such as Manfred Butzmann, Ursula Strozynski, Ulla Walter, Rainer Fetting, K. H. Hödickeand Barbara Quandt. Together they tell the story of a city in transition and ask questions that are more relevant today than ever: What visions shape our coexistence? How do we want to live?

Be there when we experience the exhibition with the artist himself in a small group, talk together and create space for exchange. As always, there will be an opportunity to discuss what you have seen afterwards - a table has been reserved in a nearby Vietnamese restaurant (please let me know if you want to be there).

Secure your ticket now and experience an inspiring afternoon full of art & dialogue with ART BREAKERS. We look forward to seeing you!
