About event
"When I manage to get to my important things, I wrap them in my hair and take them home."
Do we really find ourselves in the process of growing up, or do we become what our environment shapes us to be? Can we find our true place in the world? And during the search, how do we preserve the visceral ability to enjoy life?
The creators look for the answers to the above questions in the works of Federico García Lorca (1898 – 1936). During his short life, the Spanish author created a lasting impression as a poet, playwright, composer and visual artist. His contemporaries knew him as a dynamic, passionate, but also infinitely sensitive person. His works reflect his personality, his Andalusian identity and the age in which he lived.
The creators do not intend to map this rich oeuvre in detail, instead they try to evoke the spirit that he represented both as an artist and as a person through a few highlighted poems and songs. The selected poems are complemented by Viktória Finta's prose, looking for parallels between Lorca and our world.
All this in one hour, with poetry, music, prose, and some party dancing.
