Pat Carter & Rodeo FM Record Release (part of Dragonale 25)

Pat Carter, singer/songwriter and driving force of the international Berlin alt-country and Americana band Rodeo FM, has performed in punk basements and openings, at weddings and funerals, in beer tents, vineyards, saloons and nightclubs, at jazz festivals, symposia and demonstrations. With Rodeo FM he has released four albums and played somewhere in the region of 300 concerts between Avignon, Stockholm, London and Charkiv. Carter has been compared as a songwriter to Tom Petty, Oliver Wood, and Jim Croce, but he is rooted in the 80s and 90s crossover of punk and country and so you always hear echoes of Howe Gelb, J Mascis or Uncle Tupelo in Carter's performances. No less influenced by authors like Gregoire Chamayou and David Harvey, Carter has established his own niche genre, “left-wing country” or as the folker calls it “discourse country”.
