We cordially invite you to open a separate exhibition of Paulina Gajer's The Faraway Feels Near (the distance is close to me). The exhibition is dedicated to Petržalka, its country and past, fresh and dusty memories. How do we get under the skin of the places in which we temporarily recessed the roots? What if they change despite our ideas about them? And what if we actually changed especially? Pauline is interested in these ambivalent feelings - acquaintances and alienation, affection and distance, disappeared and deeply written, which are mixed and layered in us, creating their own image of the place we carry and constantly rewrite. She finished the bachelor's degree of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In 2021 she was part of the VŠVU team, which won Cezaar for the exterior intervention of informal MO (NU) mentals in Petržalské public space.
