Institute for the Ham Dance Science Institute for the Dance Science of Ham, are related to the Dancer and its World Research Project. Czech professional dance of the second half of the 20th century. It presents them as a specific and typical example in the context of Czech and European dance art of the 1960s to 1990s. It takes into account both the era of the sixties, from which the ensemble came out and the subsequent development of the more or less direct continuation of its activities without the founding personality in the new millennium. Thematically proceeds from a set of itself and the personalities who have shaped it, through mapping links to other creators and ensembles of the same, previous generations to wider social, political, existential and artistic contexts. Dances from various perspectives and with different accents. Among them are mainly contributions focused on analytical grasping of dance, choreographic, stylish aspects of the creation of the ensemble and their context, the perception of the ensemble, disabilities of its position and the effect of cultural, social, political and artistic. Another preferred area is the issues of the existence of such a dance ensemble and its securing in various socio-political and economic conditions (so-called normalization and late socialism with the state-controlled economy, Velvet Revolution and subsequent transformation into a market economy in the form of "wild capitalism").
