Pedro de Castro invites Eurico Machado
Pedro de Castro is one of the most virtuous guitarists of his time. Instrumentalists and reference composer in the national and international musical landscape having accompanied, the main fado singers of their contemporaries (Katia Guerreiro, Ricardo Ribeiro, Camané, Carminho, Rão Kyao, João Braga, Vicente da Câmara and Celeste Rodrigues) and acted with big names such as Placido Domingo, Martinho da Vila, Ivan Lis and Fáse de Belém. Inspired, versatile, odd and with strong traditional roots, Pedro de Castro has as much relaxation and dedication to each note he gives. Expressive and with a very own interpretative style, leaves his brand in those who hear him not only for the musical mastery, but for the genuineness of his music. In his genesis are the teachings of his master, José Luís Nobre Costa, his greatest reference, along with Raúl Nery and Jaime Santos.
Eurico Machado began his musical career as "Fado Viola" later attending the Setúbal Regional Conservatory in the classical guitar course, later dedicated to music teaching. From 2004 he dedicated himself to the Portuguese guitar and has been working in several fado houses (Luso Café, Faia, Adega Machado, Friars Table among others). Participates in musical projects of artists such as Paulo de Carvalho, Maria Ana Bobone, Mafalda Arnauth. It is also dedicated to the teaching of the Portuguese guitar. He works for several artists such as music producer, arranger and composer. In 2019 he recorded a Portuguese guitar album as a soloist, exclusively with guitars by Jaime Santos (1909-Homemine to Jaime Santos) accompanied by Jaime Santos Júnior (son of the composer) on the guitar of Fado and João Penedo on the Acoustic. He made Portuguese guitar recitals in the former Barata Bookstore and the Coruchéus space.
