About event

We are honored to invite the wonderful Bulgarian women's band People of Maha to Válc as part of their first ever tour in the Czech Republic!

Entrance is voluntary - we recommend 200 CZK (for 3 hours of live music performed by 9 musicians).

The concert will be acoustic.

PEOPLE OF MAHA
People of Maha is a spontaneous female indie rock band from Sofia, Bulgaria, which in its distinctive the sound mixes Bulgarian and Brazilian influences. The band was founded in 2018 by Alex on drums, Bia on vocals and Mila on guitar. Look forward to funk, classics and strong vocals, all accompanied by their incredible stage presentation.

LOES & HONZA
Dutch singer and guitarist Loes van Schaijk (read "Lus") and Czech singer and violinist Honza Bartošek is definitely not a typical "girl with a guitar and a boy with a violin" duo. Although they are at home in the heart of continental Europe, their ears and hearts are wide open and they can perfectly confuse the algorithms of music streaming servers with their eclectic musical taste.

JIŽNÍ SNAHY
Jižní snahy is a band playing mostly songs written by guitarist Jan Moláček during the pandemic due to the lack of other musical activities. The sound, which the band refers to as "nearlygrass", is - as the name suggests - close to bluegrass, which is the home musical goal of three of the four members. After all, banjo player Jiří Hujsl and dobro player Vojta Honzík belong to the Czech instrumental elite within this genre. The fourth southern striver (the name of the band evokes its efforts to play southern music - bluegrass) is a double bass player - and in his second musical life a heavy metal player - Tomáš Kolman.
