About event
The Mercês neighborhood is limited to Bairro Alto and São Bento Street, the Royal Prince and the sidewalk of the Combro. Its urbanization begins in the century. XVII, in lands that were flowering, originated the Praça das Flores, still today a small but beautiful local garden. In this neighborhood we find the Academy of Sciences, the Convents of Jesus and Cardes, Noble Palaces and Bourgeois Homes… as well as the memory of the Marquis of Pombal, which was born there. .
