The Cultural Scope of El Corte Inglés is pleased to invite you to the performance A Palavra Menos a Língua, by Calí Boreaz, to be held on February 7th at 6:30 pm, in the Cultural Scope Room of El Corte Inglés in Lisbon. With dancer Carolina Morais Fonseca and musician Tiago Baptista.
Synopsis
A PALAVRA MINOS A LÍNGUA is a performance event in which poetry made alive on stage merges with kinetically and, in an unrehearsed way, with other artistic expressions such as dance and music. Each session, a new fusion, without prior rehearsals, evoking the exclusive atmosphere of jam sessions, thus always being a unique and unrepeatable event. Calí Boreaz, the creative poet and performer, challenges, for two fusion sessions at El Corte Inglés, in Gaia and Lisbon, the dancer Carolina Morais Fonseca and the musicians Sara Santos Ribeiro and Tiago Baptista.
In the performance, a detour is proposed to reflect on the journey of contemporary humans, the relationship with their origin, their future, memory, love, loneliness, language, time, civilizational fiction. A layered deconstruction is the linchpin for encountering and reinhabiting a more meaningful human experience. What is real? How can we deconstruct excessive identification with constructs of ego and civilization if it challenges the limits of visibility? What if the great human encounter happens from the deepest solitude of each one?
THE WORD MINUS THE TONGUE is an invitation not to an evasion of reality, but rather to a radical entry into it, with the purpose of being better in it,
more alive.
