About event
Performative lecture by Boris Ondreička AD HOC: THE SECOND CONTEMPORARY
Wednesday 26.11. at 19:00 in the Koppel villa
In the lecture AD HOC: THE SECOND CONTEMPORARY, Boris Ondreička expands his long-term research into the history of free contemporary art as an expert in individuation from the beginning of the long 19th century into spatial installation. He speaks polemically about the swarm theory, because he reconstructs the mentioned history as a divergence of personal transgressive and subversive acts. He considers these (along with Jacob Taubes) to be fundamental factors determining the difference between the past and the future. Together with Gilles Deleuze, today he has an individualist approach to becoming someone (anything).
Ondreička is interested in the phenomenon of contemporary art, historical backgrounds and consequences, solves the question of how we got here and how to navigate in a space without (critical) categories, in the innovation of the swarm theory (which does not work in higher organisms), the author proposes to incorporate the decisive role of of curiosity, will and unpredictable, prototypical creativity / a kind of generative bug in the system that expresses a defiant centrifugality from fatigue of previous (or even currently [hysterically] ongoing [from-place-to-place]) contents, forms and values, away from isms / supporting the self-erosion of isms, if I talk about automatic centrifugal force as an integral part of the system of art evolution, I mean wider relations between "I" (individuality, personality) inside "we" (collectivity, movement)...
