Performatívna prednáška o tvorbe performatívnej prednášky

A performative lecture on the creation of a performative lecture. The question of escaping from one country to another
appears in conversations between queer people on a regular basis. This work-in-progress
presents fragments from the work-in-progress performance What Can I Say and Who Can I Be, which consists
of attempts to translate Sappho's poem from ancient Greek into German, English and Slovak. These interweave
with personal statements about migration, desire and identity. He examines language as embodied and observes the identity of the
speaking person across translations – not only in the process of translating one text, but also when
translating one's self from one cultural context to another. The lecture on the ongoing creation
of the lecture presents its materials in raw form and is open to feedback from the audience.
The performative lecture will sometimes take place in Slovak, English, German
and ancient Greek
