‘Personages’ - AchterdebergAcademie @Internationaal Theater Amsterdam

On January 13 & 14, the performance 'CHARACTERS' by the AchterdebergAcademie will be performed at the International Theater Amsterdam!

Characters is a search for what happens when fantasy and reality start to intermingle. Which stories give us guidance in the world? And what happens when the stories completely take over reality? For example, if you become blind and can no longer see the world. Or when it is discovered that you will forget more and more stories and memories. A search in play for the meaning of stories, memories, time and fantasy in a world that is becoming increasingly faster and more factual.

Characters is a collaboration between the Achterdeberg Academy, Visio Amsterdam and the band El Mo Collective . The performance is performed by a diverse group of sighted, partially sighted and blind players in the stage image of 'The Doctor' by International Theater Amsterdam. The piece is inspired by personal stories of the players, 'Six characters in search of a writer' by L. Pirandello and Doctor Bernhardi after A. Schnitzler.
