The seven-piece Personal Trainer sounds – in short – like all your favorite indie rock bands squeezed into grandiose, catchy songs full of humor and enthusiasm. The indie collective around frontman and cheerleader Willem Smit has seen many changes, with additions from other indie favorites such as Canshaker Pi, Pip Blom, Home Counties and Global Charming. In 2021, the band released their debut EP Gazebo, followed by the album Big Love Blanket in 2022, on which the band's inspired energy is translated into adventurous pop productions.
With increasingly larger venues at their feet Personal Trainer continues to chase moments where chaos, friendship, tension and spontaneity predominate, and they can go on tour again this fall.
