Perzekúcie komunistického režimu na Slovensku (1948 - 1989)

Lecture by historian Mgr. Petra Jašek, PhD. (Institute of National Memory). During its rule in Slovakia, the communist regime persecuted and persecuted its real and imagined opponents. The victims of the regime felt the harshest persecution in the 1950s. Tens of thousands of citizens then experienced imprisonment and brutal investigations by the State Security. They were forced to confess to acts they never committed. Persecutions lasted throughout the communist regime until 1989.
After the lecture, a free guided tour of the former ŠtB regional prison will be provided.
