Pět let zpět

Five years, two people, one love story. Broadway musical with Anna Prášilová Fialová and Ondřej Rychlý and a live band.

Broadway musical by Jason Robert Brown offers a unique look at the five-year relationship between a man and a woman. From the first enchantment to the peak moments of happiness to falls and breakups. A strong acting and singing challenge, which seems to have been written directly for Anna Prášilová Fialová and Ondřej Rychlý.

The musical Five Years Back belongs to the works of the American composer Jason Robert Brown. It tells the intimate story of two young people - actress Cathy and writer Jamie - who spend five years of love, ups and downs together. What makes it absolutely special is the way it is told: Cathy follows the audience from a painful break-up back to the initial enchantment, while Jamie's journey flows classically from the first date to the last goodbye. Their lives thus meet on stage in just one moment - on their wedding day.

Brown's music, appreciated for its melodic richness and emotional depth, combines elements of jazz, pop and classical musical sound. Thanks to this, space is created for an extremely intense theatrical experience - and above all for great acting and singing opportunities. The whole musical is based on only two performers, who have to act out the captivating story on stage alone, without the support of secondary characters. Five years back is therefore not only an intimate statement about the relationship between two people, but also a real acting challenge and an opportunity to shine.
