Lives marked by war, everyday life disrupted by the loss of homes, schools and cultural spaces. The exhibition Fragments of Ukraine is a reaction to these facts. Peter Baran reflects in a physically tangible way the war in the country with which we are immediately adjacent. The central motif from which the works are based are fragments of civilian buildings, hit by Russian missile attacks, collected from public spaces, where they lay scattered as traces of destroyed lives.
The project was supported from public sources in the form of a scholarship by the Art Support Fund.
