About event

There are not many voices in this world that are so unique and immediately identifiable. Especially not among German singers. The two-time echo award winner Peter Heppner undoubtedly owns one of these absolutely distinctive organs. On May 18, 2012, "My Heart of Stone" was published by the long-awaited second solo plant in the Hamburgers. The album flanked directly from the decoupled single, the album joined 6th in the charts. With the Electro-Pop and Dark-Wave size Wolfsheim, he was able to record numerous hit-singles (including "no back", "Once in a lifetime") and reach the top positions in the album charts. Wolfsheim acted as headlining big festivals and played sold out tours in Europe and the USA.
In addition to his work with the band and as a solo artist, Peter Heppner is also a permanent guest in the playlists of radio stations and TV music stations thanks to various collaborations. The impressive series began in 1998 with "Die Flood", an immensely popular song with Joachim Witt. This was followed by the hits "Dream of You" (2001) and "Life I Feel You" (2004) with the Ambient Pop project Schiller. Together with star DJ Paul van Dyk, Heppner played the "We are", which was also highly noted, in 2004. The singer also landed chart success in cooperation with the Dark-Wafer Goethe's heirs ("Glasgarten", 2001) and in the trio with Milu and Kim Sanders ("From Gold", 2004). The recent of these productions is the newly edited duet to the classic "House of the Drei Sonnen" on the side of Nena.
With "My Heart of Stone", Heppner started an exciting, new chapter of his career. "Solo 'was even if I did not intend to do this, a kind of transitional work for me, he explains. Wolfsheim was not really placed Ad Acta and buzzed around in the back of my head. So the album came to a unconscious attempt at the musical settlement and the simultaneous attempt to distance myself from my past to a certain extent.
It also took a while until I realized all of this, he continues. 'Solo' is far from a bad album. I am very proud of many of the pieces. With the successor, however, I now wanted to determine the direction myself as to a large extent to react to external circumstances, changed situations and old relationships. I have created a new artistic and musical basis with which I am extremely happy.
"My Heart of Stone" should be less introverted again. From the moment of publication, music and texts are simply no longer a private matter, laughs Heppner. I wanted to present pieces that open a door. Songs that allow faster access again. With the fantastic, catchy tune-suspect single "My World", which is spreading a kind of 80s feeling and yet absolutely modern "God tuxedo" or the energetic "I Wont Give Up", the self-made task was brilliantly solved. Stylistic and emotional diversity. The mood palette of melancholy to hopefully to rebellious and exuberant happily is illustrated by means of consistent integration of elements from elements from rock and new wave to current dance floor and ambient sounds. Riegner (Marianne Rosenberg, MIL) as a co-composer. The vocal melodies and the texts once again come from the protagonist's pen alone. As a producer, the Berlin Thommy Hein was committed, who already worked with and for such different stars as Corvus Corax, David Garrett or Queens of the Stone Age and created a wonderfully voluminous and yet intimate sound.
Of course Peter Heppner will also present the new songs on stage. A detailed tour of Germany starts this autumn. Heppner is accompanied by his live band, which was already very well tried out during the last tour of the concert.
