About event
The Leto v Kulturpark 2026 festival will bring a unique jazz evening to Košice. 🎤Peter Lipa & Band🎤, who are among the most outstanding personalities of the Slovak jazz scene, will perform on the stage in the Kasární/Kulturpark area. The concert will take place 🎺21. August 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
Fans of 🎷jazz can look forward to an exceptional musical experience. Peter Lipa, a legend of Slovak jazz and its long-time ambassador at home and abroad, will bring to Košice a selection of the best of his rich work. His distinctive voice, distinctive interpretation and sense of musical detail make every concert an unrepeatable experience.
🎵Peter Lipu's music is based on blues, soul and classic jazz mainstream, but he naturally also moves in other musical positions - from swing standards and Dixieland to Latin American jazz, 🎺jazz chanson or spiritual to funk and rock elements. It is this variety of genres and openness that make his concerts extraordinary meetings of music and emotions.
Working with ✍text is also an important part of his work. Peter Lipa is among the first Slovak singers who were able to naturally transfer the Slovak language to jazz music and thus create a unique vocal style that is today his trademark.
During his rich career, he performed on important stages all over the world - from Europe to America and Asia. He has sung, for example, in Tokyo, Mexico, New York or Cuba, and is still one of the most respected personalities of Slovak jazz.
The concert in the Summer in Kulturpark 2026 will include well-known compositions and a selection from newer projects, which confirm that Peter Lipa is still a prominent and inspiring personality of Slovak music even after decades on the scene.
🚸Admission for children under 6 years old free.
🎫Tickets for visitors with a ZŤP card can only be purchased directly at the venue for €8.50 per person.
