About event
Ghostman – vocalist, saxophonist, improviser and sound artist from Bielsko-Biała, whose performances go beyond the usual musical categories. He is one of the few vocalists in the world who use the phenomenon of "languages" in his work - he sings in intuitive phonemes reminiscent of lost dialects. He never learned them - they come from an inner source and serve as a means of expressing emotions that cannot be described in words.
On stage, he acts as a sound alchemist. He perceives the voice as a full-fledged, living and unpredictable instrument. He creates music in real time - layering sounds using a looper, guitar effects and unlimited imagination.
Each performance is unique - it arises as a spontaneous ritual of improvisation, connecting with the audience and discovering the present moment.
Peter Uher Group is the author's project of guitarist and composer Peter Uher, which combines ambient, modern jazz and electronics into contemporary, atmospheric sound. The band relies on strong interaction between musicians, improvisation and work with space, creating a dynamic yet introspective musical ensemble.
The core of the group is a trio with bassist Braň Valanský and drummer Michal Čerevka, while the line-up is often supplemented by foreign guests. European jazz aesthetics meet modern sound design and electronics in their music.
The band presents Petr Uher's original compositions, which balance between composition and open improvisation, while each concert brings a unique musical shape.
