About event
They're not hookers Tour!
Adventures, cycling and humor Petr Jan Juračka
You know Petr Jan Juračka as a photographer, traveler and narrator who does not take napkins. This time, however, he stepped on the pedals ... Although he admits that he can not really ride a bike. His new book "They're not hookers!" It is a brisk testimony of unusual wanderings around Europe - from the Elbe to Italy, through frozen lakes and islands, where bike rather walks. And finally? 1000 Miles across Czechoslovakia.
Come and enjoy a live lecture full of unexpected experiences, breathtaking photos and Peter's typical humor. It will be a ride - and it will not only step uphill! He acts as an ambassador of the National Geographic and is also the popularization of science of the Faces of the Faculty of Science, Charles University. As the second Czech in history, he had the honor that his photograph appeared on the front page of the Czech edition of the National Geographic magazine. He traveled Europe, Africa, Asia, Greenland, Central and South America. He is the author of several short science films and series. The most striking film is his participation in the film Who’s Who in Mycology by director Marie Dvořáková, who won the prestigious student Oscar in Las Vegas. He won an international award for the video of this expedition.
In the autumn of 2025, it publishes a new book entitled They are not hookers!
