Pic de Balandrau, camí dels Enginyers i gorges del Freser i de Núria 2D/1N

Circular 2 -day route to enjoy the Gorges del Freser and those of Núria, with promotion (optional) to the summit the Balandrau and visit to the Sanctuary of Núria passing the spectacular path of the Engineers

We propose a two -day circular route to the Coma de Vaca shelter and cross two of the most emblematic governing roads in the Valls de Núria and the Freser.
On the first day, from Queralbs, we will ascend through the Gorges del Freser to the Refuge of Coma de Vaca, where we will spend the night. In the afternoon we can go up (optional) to the summit of Balandrau. On the second day on our crossing to the Vall de Núria we will tour the spectacular Camí dels Enginyers and once in Núria we will return to Queralbs along the path that runs through its gorges.

A quite complete route that will allow us to discover the upper sector of the Fresser valley and the head of the Vall de Núria, as well as an emblematic summit of the area and one of the most brutal paths that we find.

* Day 1: From the meeting point (07: 00-Barcelona) we will go by car to Queralbs (09: 30h). From there, we will always arrive at the Coma de Vaca shelter where we will spend the night. In the afternoon ascent to the top of the Balandrau

9km. 940m of positive slope and 140m of negative slope. By Balandrau we must add: 6km and 550m of positive and negative slope

* Day 2: We will leave the shelter and begin the Camí dels Enginyers to the Sanctuary of Núria. A rest and a visit to the Virgin to continue down the Gorges de Núria to Queralbs. Possibility and down with the zipper if necessary.

17km. 600m of positive slope and about 1400 of negative slope

** \*\*Difficulty: ** Well defined mountain paths but where it will be necessary to cross sections of rock without a path. The Camí dels Enginyers has some section with steep slopes and important falls (*Raise your sensation with heights and vertigo*). Distance and important slopes (*Raise your physical condition*)

** \*\*Accommodation: ** The Coma de Vaca shelter: This is a saved shelter owned by the FEEC. If you are federated you can enjoy discount on the MP

** \*\*Material: ** Mountain footwear. Eating (breakfast, route snack and lunch of the first day and Pica-pica de route and lunch for the second day) and drink. Hat and sunblock. Suitable clothing for the time of year and conditions. Coat and waterproof clothes. Proper backpack. Recommended sticks. Sheets of sleeping bag and personal utensils.

** \*\*Transport: ** We will do it in private vehicles. It will be necessary to pay € 12 for gas costs to the driver of the vehicle. When you sign up, we will ask you your availability of places.
If you do not have a vehicle we cannot secure a place.
Places to vehicles will be assigned in order of payment of the reservation (€ 45) and according to availability
If you bring 3 or more people to your vehicle we discount € 10 of the exit price
