Hypnotic polyrhythms break down corporate mantras. Wide palette of percussion, electronics, synthetic vocals and field recordings. Stunningly fresh virtuosity. Pidgins is an experiment with percussive languages. The Duo from Mexico City transforms oral and rhythmic procedures of traditional transnice rituals by phasing metric, melodic and rhetorical phrases. These sample systems form grammar that Pidgins used to design language puzzles: productivity mantras, controlled antimeditations and hypnotic induction sequences. The Pidgins speak these languages to question the current transmission states - the dogmas of the management class, self -help literature or new age therapy.
The drumming of the percussionist Mila Tamez is based on the decade -long study of Polyrhythm. In his work he uses me-rhythmic percussive textures. In Pidgins, Tamez's drumming is energetic and rhythm -oriented. Vocalist and electroacousticist Aaron with sings "Refrains of the Day" - Jargon Mantras of the Technocratic Elite. Axis Mundi Sound Distribution System - a modular audio statue that changes the way of distribution of sound and breaks traditional borders between musician and audience. This unique system uses rotating speakers, ultrasonic converters and light modules to create a absorbing spatial experience in which the sound spreads in unconventional directions and creates unique acoustic illusions.
Jonáš Gruska has long been investigating field recordings, psychoacoustic characteristics of sound, alternative tuning and sonization of various phenomena. He is the founder of Lom Lom, the festival sound or mykol mykol. His work was presented at the leading festivals of experimental music throughout Europe. art.
