The Malostranský Cemetery Association would like to invite you to a commemorative act on the occasion of 150 years since the death of Czech painter, vedutists and author of a series of graphic sheets of Vincence Morstadt (17.01.1802, Kolín - 19.02.1875, Prague). The event will take place on Wednesday, February 19 at 3 pm at Morstadt's grave in the new part of the Lesser Town Cemetery. The meeting of the participants is at 14:45 at the tombstone of Bishop Thun-Hohenstein at the main entrance to the cemetery. Surroundings, eg Svatošské rocks on Ohře. He continued the clerical track with the courts in Trutnov and Hradec Králové. He met with František Palacký, V. V. Tomek and other leading patriots. He sketched in the streets of Prague shortly before the end. He was a specialized landscape painter and vedutist - he captured mainly important buildings, streets and public areas of Czech cities, he liked to fill them with genre figures of burghers, craftsmen or merchants. Most of the works were created during his judicial practice, originally as a pencil drawing, which he usually left to perform the technique of etching and coloring to graphics or lithographs. Gradually, these graphic leaves were joined into albums.
On the memorial act at the Lesser Town Cemetery will be followed by a set of lectures devoted to the draftsman's life and work, which will take place at the branch of the Municipal Library in Prague, Smichov, nám. 14 October 15, Prague 5.
