About event
A commented walk takes participants to the Old Town streets in the footsteps of Prague legends, mysterious stories and ancient rumours. The route will lead through the Old Town Square and Ungelt, past the Basilica and St. James the Greater and historic meat shops to the area of the former walls in Lodní mlýny Street.
During the tour, stories of burning passion, religious zeal and rent arsonists will be heard. Participants will learn how, according to old legends, it was possible to catch a thief, how to avoid an unwanted awakening in a coffin, or how the writer Gustav Meyrink tried to find lost things using occult practices. The program will also include a reminder of places associated with the legendary couple Randall and Hopkirk, an unusual view from the Novomlýn water tower and a visit to an interactive exhibition dedicated to the history of fires in Prague.
