18.30 Jožo Terem – Mongolia on reindeer
Have any of you ever ridden a reindeer? Or did it fall into the river? An adventurer by heart and profession and the founder of the Dobrodruh.sk portal, who has traveled to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and South America, will talk about his unconventional expedition.
The Catan tribe, the last reindeer riders in Mongolia, live in an isolated area of the taiga – in places where there are no roads for cars and you can only get there on horseback. In the beautiful, but harsh Nordic nature, one can fully realize the strength of people who can survive in such inhospitable conditions.
20.00 Rasťo Eckert – Mesopotamia on a bicycle
The former editor of JOJ TV, today a painter, traveler and engaging storyteller will take you on his bicycle expedition towards Mesopotamia. The adventurous cycling expedition had the ambition to reach Iraq by bicycle - to the region considered to be the cradle of civilization between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers.
However, reality entered the plans faster than the kilometers on the speedometer. Rašto ended his journey in Turkey due to the security situation and the war in the region. His story about reality on the road, unexpected twists and perseverance is all the more powerful.
The travel talk takes place on June 16 in the cinema hall of the SNP Museum from 6:30 p.m.
