In this episode of the cycle "Dialogues with History" we will focus on the oldest grammar of Spanish and Czech language: Grammar Antonio de Nebrija from 1492 and Grammar Beneš Optat, Petr Gzel and Václav Philomath (1533), later included in Czech Blahoslav Grammatics (1571). The aim will be to clarify the reasons why these texts were created, their resources and a place in the history of Czech and Spanish culture. We will also learn about the personalities of Antonio de Nebrija, a pioneer and creator of a new language who led a travel and adventure life and was constantly persecuted by the Inquisition, and Beneš Optat, Humanists, Translator and Author of Linguistics and Mathematics.
Ondřej will be bought from the Institute for the Language of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Institute for the Czech AV language), which has long been interested in the history of Czech language and published a number of works on the grammar of the humanistic period, and Diego Moldes, the author of the reader's successful book on the life and work of Antonio de Nebrija.
