About event
👀 Witty and distinctive Czech comedy? Filmmaker Ondřej Hudeček, in his feature debut, shows how to make an audience-friendly yet novel film. It will be presented by the ARAS screenings series, where we will welcome the director himself for a discussion!
💥 Poberta is a thief, robber, grabber, fraudster, villain, crook, but also the "hero" of this heist comedy. Ondřej Hudeček set his film in his native Strážnice during the lockdowns and cast Matyáš Řezníček, Denisa Barešová, Stanislav Majer, Václav Neužil, Lukáš Příkazký or Filip Kaňkovský in the main roles.
🎥 While the atmosphere of the place is brought to the film by the local non-professional actors and Slovak dialect, the exceptionality of the times is reminded of the day-to-day changing rules that allow the full development of the Czech national talent.
