About event

Who owns the city? ✨

We are creating a world in which the streets belong to women and Henry Acord, the embankments to Daniel Tupé, the clubs to Juraj and Matúš, and the country to all those whose right to exist was taken away by the amended constitution. Create this world with us! Join the dance-performative march through the city and experience what it's like to walk the streets without fear.

Feminist city and open country - let them be a right, not just a wish.

✨ What will it be? A little protest, a little dance and a lot of pure joy.

✨ How will the happening take place?
At Náměstí Nežná revolucie we will learn a simple choreography together, which will become our common language. We will read the Manifesto of a safe country and then we will walk, dance and celebrate the idea of a city and a country where we all feel safe.

Date and time: 22 October at 17:00
Place: Nám. Gentle Revolution (in front of the Old Market
Route: from Nám. Gentle Revolution (in front of the Old Market) in front of Kino Lumière

✨ What should you bring? Nothing special. Dress the way you feel good. Don't forget that it can rain.

✨ And that's all? If you want, yes, if you don't want, no. After the march followed by the screening of the documentary Moments of Hope at Kine Lumiére, which captures the journey of the Million Moments for Democracy movement, from the mass protests on Letná to the questions of what is meaningful in activism. We invite you not only to the film, but also to a discussion in which we will critically reflect on the crisis of democracy and the role of civil initiatives in society. Do they have a chance to make a difference? Where lies the line between civil activism and policy - and what happens if someone crosses it?

Guests:
Mikuláš Minář, co-founder of the association Million moments for democracy
Amálie Kovářová, director of the film Moments of Hope
Katarína Mišíková, Open Culture!

Lukáš Osvald, Human in endangered.
The screening and discussion is part of the One World Festival.
