The lion pit in the Acropolis Palace! ✨ On Sunday, December 8, from 7:30 p.m.
Jama lvová began as a performative research into the media, political populism and their manipulative powers. Two female performers become the embodiment of physical and visual images inspired by the media space. In a never-ending dance duet, they fall together with the viewer into a symbolic lion's den, which becomes an abyss of uncertainty and ambiguity.
Sabina Bočková and Johana Pocková balance on the border between fun and perversity, moving from manipulating the viewer to manipulating themselves and they oscillate between leader roles and victim roles. With unusual lightness and openness of meaning, they pass through well-known figures of socio-cultural references and create a wide space for one's own interpretation, critical thinking and taking a personal position. The Lion's Den is an electrifying performance with heightened emotional charge and high intensity, which, combined with piercing live music, creates and uses, even abuses, its own atmosphere to create a strong emotional pressure.
