About event
Martina Janková / soprano
Barbara Maria Willi / hammer piano
Martina Janková is one of the most important sopranos of today. Her clear voice is perfect for reviving Haydn's wonderful songs and his famous cantata about the abandoned Cretan princess Ariadne. The patron of the cycle, Barbara Maria Willi, will introduce herself this time as a virtuoso player of the hammer piano, the original of which was built at the time when Papa Haydn composed his song gems and when Leopold Koželuh received thunderous ovations in Vienna for his compositions for the then-modern "fortepiano". Both spirited performers promise a concert that can cure stress!
Program:
Joseph Haydn
Die Landlust / The Pleasure of the Country
Liebeslied / Love Song
Die zuspäte Ankunft der Mutter / Mother’s Too Late Arrival
Arianna and Naxos / Ariadne on Naxos
Leopold Koželuh
Sonata in F major, op. 1 no. 1
Joseph Haydn
The Mermaid's song
The Wanderer
A Pastoral Song
The Spirit's Song/ The song of the spirit
