About event
The Central Slovak Gallery invites you to the fourth and last part of the four planned summer creative mornings for children aged 8 to 13. The last cycle of creative summer mornings will bring the theme of the landscape, searching for the horizon and dominant elements in the landscape, searching for treasures hidden under the ground or games with landscape measurement and orientation in the landscape. It is inspired by the Cosmic Landscape exhibition.
On the surface • Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Artistic activities inspired by Juraj Gábor's installation at the Cosmic Landscape exhibition. Let's get acquainted with the installation Undulating landscape. We will feel the feeling of the country transferred to the interior of the gallery. We will look for the horizon and dominant elements in the landscape. We will create an object from cardboard and play with its placement in the installation.
Under the surface • Wednesday, August 19, 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Search for treasures hidden underground. Inspired by the presentation of photographs of minerals and minerals by Dušan Slivka and the atmosphere of a special musical composition, we will mix our own salt solution. We will see that even salt deposits can be visually interesting and create photographic "enlargements" in the darkroom.
Surface • Thursday 20 August 2026, 9.00 - 12.00.
Games with landscape measurement and orientation in the landscape. Once we have managed to transfer part of the country to the gallery, we will try to play with contour lines, creating a map or finding the cardinal directions. We will also examine the surface of the landscape itself and use the frottage technique to capture its structure.
