From the cycle - Forms of love to God

Homily: Daniel Pastirčák

God tells me - I know about you - Do not be afraid. He doesn't talk to me about the illness - his is enough for me - I know about you. And what is happening in the world today, the wars in Gaza, in Ukraine, maybe these are the last times. God doesn't talk to me about that, I don't understand that. One thing he says - that I should not be afraid of what is to come. The only thing I have to fear is that the love of many will grow cold - in these last times. The greatest danger is that our love will grow cold.

Jozef Beliš - from the voice message

Christ's benefactor, looking at a poor person, feels no distance between himself and him, he transfers his whole being into him. The movement by which he brings food is as instinctive and immediate as the movement he himself is when he is hungry. The one who transfers his being to the poor in this way restores an existence independent of poverty in him through love.

Simona Weil

When it comes to people, the slave does not become more similar to the master through obedience. On the contrary, the more pliable he is, the greater the distance between him and the one who commands.
It is different in man's relationship with God. If a rational creature is completely obedient, it becomes the perfect image of the Almighty to the extent that it belongs to it.
God created us as autonomous so that we can give up our autonomy through love.
To a perfectly obedient person, the human capacity for free choice is of infinite value.
