PODOBY (Taka bola doba) is a performative installation exploring the silent mechanisms of control, obedience and normalized violence.
They are based on a personal story of a woman whose father destroyed her trousers - a symbol of personal freedom - as an act of
"educational correction". What is important is not the act itself, but its peaceful acceptance and silence, revealing deep-rooted mechanisms of power transmitted between generations.
The project moves between past, present and future and explores how subtle forms of oppression become a natural part of everyday life. Through performance, sound, objects and video projection, a space is created in which the viewer does not follow the story, but enters the very mechanism of
repetition, adaptation and silence.
Abstract movement language, repetition of simple gestures, the body reacting to the environment, the transformation of objects create an image of collective memory and constantly reproducing social norms. The work does not moralize or shock - it unsettles what was and perhaps still is considered natural.
