I offer the opportunity to create something beautiful for yourself... or as a gift. It is a cycle of three evenings that we will dedicate to glass mosaics and Tiffany stained glass - i.e. to colored glass and working with it. The meeting dates are Tuesdays, October 29 and November 5 and 19, always 5-9 p.m.
The course will be creative and playful, we will combine different techniques and materials. You will learn to cut and break glass, work with several types of special pliers and a glass grinder, glue, apply copper tape, solder, join, patina, work with wire and beads.
We always start with a glass mosaic (first meeting), and then we will agree on how to proceed. It is not a classic teaching of Tiffany stained glass according to pre-prepared templates (although there will be those in the workshop if needed)... but rather count on simpler motifs on which you will learn the technique (keep the Tiffany lamp for another time and with someone else, we won't get into such projects here ;-))
You can use the entire cycle to create one larger work using the glass mosaic technique (for example, a larger mirror frame, painting, lantern or electric lamp), or try both techniques and create a few smaller things - window curtains, pot holders, jewelry, candle lamps, mosaic bowls and stones, light fixtures...
It's nice to let me know in advance if you have a specific idea of the product, its color and so on - so that I can prepare the right material.
The price of CZK 4300 includes stained glass in many shades, copper tape, glass nuggets and beads, glues, joint mass, soldering fluid, tin, patina, antioxidant and the use of the necessary tools (cutter, grinder, solder, pliers...). Also coffee/tea and small snacks... The price does NOT include the base for the glass mosaic - you can bring your own, or glass circles with pre-drilled holes in different sizes, lanterns, electric lamps and more will be available for purchase on site - before the course e - we will discuss by email what you are interested in, and I will bring it to the workshop.
The time allowance (12 hours) is the same as for a regular two-day weekend course).
There will be a maximum of 6 people in the workshop so that I can give you enough attention.
