‘’Image can speak the unspeakable and move us closer to the unknowable’’ – Anonymous
We tend to project our thoughts to the outside world. Images around us become mirrors of our different states of mind. Our thoughts become an image. However, we are not our thoughts and by separating them from us we create a space for reflection. We are emotionally wired to be curious about images of things first and then things themselves. Ambiguous visual imagery allows us to open up, to differentiate, to imagine, to dream things which are not yet possible. It is time to reconnect with our nature and go back to the images. We think, remember and envision future in images, not words. This is the power of the poetic image. Finding answers is impossible if we don’t ask questions. Asking questions about life keeps us humble and grounded. Being always sure about our place in the world is putting the limits on our experience and nature of reality. Staying present and being aware that questions are here to stay by embracing the uncertainties is a way to keep the channel of possibilities always open. Don’t be afraid to ask but always be cautious of simple answers.
During exhibition creation phase Bojan was inspired by Tarot and alchemical imagery of the 16th and 17th centuries. This exhibition is an attempt to share his explorations in visual poetic imagery, psychoanalysis and philosophy. During his explorations Bojan realized that staying open to the world is what makes us human. In his professional life he had a pleasure to meet very interesting people who inspired him. He was always curious about what happens in the mind and why we humans do what we do. In his opinion a key to understand each other is in empathy and openness. He became fascinated about the psychological phenomenon of projection and he realized that projecting thoughts, memories, anxieties and hopes to the outside world is important on a journey to self-knowledge. However instead of projecting to people around you which distorts reality, art can become a mirror for the soul. That’s where his photography aesthetics crystallized as a photopoetry concept and how Poetry of Questions idea was born.
This interactive exhibition is the exploration into the depths of the human mind.
During the exhibition period visitors will have an opportunity to co-create with artist his next project by sharing their personal reflections.
Also we plan to host multiple other events during this period and collaborate with other artists, musicians and poets, so stay tuned!
Welcome to an evening of photopoetry art and join us for a music jam after exhibition opening curated by the Jam Master Utku Koçak, a musician, architect and designer from Prague.
We would love to see you there and share experience together!
