We invite you to a panel discussion on the translation of socio-humanitarian texts into Slovak associated with the presentation of the collective publication Dictionary of Translators and Translators: Science about Man and Culture. Literary scientists - translatologists Katarína Bednárová, Mária Kusá and Silvia Rybárová - will perform at the event; Moderated by Jana Cviková. The translation is conveyed and at the same time forms what and how we learn about the in -organizing world. This also applies to texts in the field of socio-humanities-philosophy, sociology, art, literary science, history. And like literary and scientific works, they do not translate themselves. Discussion with the participation of editors and authors of the book Novelty Dictionary of Translators and Translators: Science about Man and Culture (Science, SAS publishing house, 2024) will present personalities behind the translation, wider context of their work and irreplaceable work and role played in cultural space. />
