Pomocníčka/The Housemaid (český dabing)

What's behind closed doors?
When Millie (Sydney Sweeney) gets a job at the Winchester house, she begins to believe that luck has finally turned on her. Now he has a chance to start with a clean slate! But what looks like a dream come true quickly turns into something much more dangerous - a sexy, seductive game full of secrets, scandals and manipulations. In the seemingly perfect household of Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew (Brandon Sklenar), there is more dirty laundry than is suitable for this luxurious address. The film The Helper, based on the bestseller of the same name, which thrilled millions of readers around the world and became the best book thriller, draws the audience into a captivating story full of shocking twists and intrigues, in which only a pretense works perfectly.

Working in Nina and Andrew Winchester's household is Millie's last rescue to start over and close the dark chapter of her past. But she has no idea that the secrets her new employers hide behind closed doors are much bigger than her own...
At first, she doesn't pay attention to the strange "accidents" she encounters during the daily cleaning of the beautiful house, picking up their daughter from school and preparing family dinners, and tries to casually overlook them, as well as Nina's strange behavior, her false accusations and the approvals they have to to face more and more often. After all, Millie has experienced far worse things in her life than the whims of a spoiled lady from a rich neighborhood, and she desperately needs this job. But Andrew is becoming more and more troubled and lonely. Looking into his beautiful eyes, it's hard not to imagine what it would be like to not be just a maid and become the new mistress of the house, especially when the current one is becoming more unbearable day by day, and has even stopped taking care of herself. And maybe it wouldn't even have to be all about charming imaginations, because the Winchesters have no idea who Millie really is. They don't know what she's capable of...
Paul Feig (Dangerous Kindnesses, Spy, Women to Herself) directed the thriller, which crosses the boundaries of the genre and playfully keeps the audience in suspense until the last moment. The assistant Millie is played by one of the most popular young actresses of today, Sydney Sweeney, who was attracted to her character "because she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in". According to her, the film is a mixture of twists, love, passion, darkness, and something more. Nina is played by Golden Globe winner Amanda Seyfried. The central pair of heroines is completed by Brandon Sklenar as Andrew and Michele Morrone as the Italian gardener Enzo.
"The film is even better than my book, it managed to get everything that the readers like about it into it. And the performances of the actors are absolutely incredible," praises the film adaptation of The Helpers, the author of the book's original version, Freida McFadden, who also participated in the script.
