She has been on the scene for four decades. He is the embodiment of groove and incredible energy behind the mix. He combines house, techno, afro, gospel, disco or broken beat with natural elegance. Marcia Carr is an internationally recognized DJ and selector, a music lover who has been shaping dance floors not only in her native London, but all over the world for four decades. As a former dancer, she brings an instinctive feeling for movement and dancing to every set.
She has performed at the We Out Here, Love Supreme, É Soul Cultura, Southport Weekender, Across The Tracks and Margate Soul Festival festivals, but also in iconic clubs such as Fabric, The Jazz Cafe, Ministry of Sound and Night Tales.
House music legend Kerri Chandler described her musical knowledge and taste as "one of the most distinctive in our scene". This is also confirmed by her numerous appearances on radio shows and radios all over the world.
Marcia was the first woman to play as a DJ at the Royal Opera House in London, opening concerts for stars such as Mica Paris, Omar Lye-Fook, Jill Scott and Annie Lennox.
As Marcia DaVinylMC, she is the founder of the all-vinyl female collective Girlz B Like, which has been active for over ten years.
