🔥 10th anniversary of POST MORTEM FEST 🔥
🔥 Post Mortem is a cyclical post/sludge/black/doom DIY event in Toruń.
The 18th edition of the Post Mortem festival will take place on April 18 in the GDR club in Toruń (this will be the last edition in this club). By the way, we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Post Mortem Fest.

Austere is a legend of Australian depressive black metal, founded in 2005 as a solo project by Mitchell "Desolate" Keepin. In 2007, Tim "Sorrow" Yatras, known from bands such as Autumn's Dawn and Germ, joined the band. After releasing two full-length albums ("Withering Illusions and Desolation", "To Lay like Old Ashes"), one EP ("Only the Wind Remembers") and two splits (with Lyrinx and Isolation), the band disbanded in 2010. In 2022, Austere reactivated, and soon after resuming activity, he recorded two new, well-received albums "Corrosion of Hearts" and this year's "Beneath the Threshold"

🔊 Lunar Tombfields (France) < br/>[ atmospheric black metal ]
Lunar Tombfields was formed in early 2020, when the world was on the brink of collapse and everything around seemed to be on the verge of chaos. It was the perfect moment for M. (Absolvtion/Defenestration) to compose the four songs that would become part of the album The Eternal Harvest. Soon after, Äzh (Natremia/Defenestration) joined the duo, and in early spring 2021, the band entered Darkened Studio to record their debut album. Consisting of four long songs, this album is a tribute to the glory of the stars, the power of the elements and the tragedy of the human fate.

[ progressive post black metal]
The beginnings of Defying date back to 2008, but only after a few years and personnel changes, the debut longplay "Nexus" saw the light of day Artificial” (2014). The EP "The Splinter of Light We Misread", released two years later, consolidated the band's specific concept of music. Combining various types of heavy music, such as post- or prog-metal with black, sludge or ambient, has become an attribute of Defying. In the quartet's music, you can find many instruments less common in the genre, such as wind and string instruments.
The latest album "Wadera" is a concept album inspired by the Polish horror film "Wilczyca" (1983) and the short story "Wadera" ( 1977) Jerzy Gierałtowski. It is a musical story about revenge from beyond the grave, told in the spirit of dark romanticism. Wanting to maintain the 19th-century atmosphere, in addition to the classic metal instruments, the quartet used over a hundred-year-old instruments such as a zither and a hunting horn. The idea was to make "Wadera" sound like an old film reel.
