About event
We invite you to the third public meeting in front of the Art Support Fund (FPU) during the scheduled meeting of the FPU Council.
The FPU Council at the last meeting on 18/12/2024 started negotiations on a new draft of the FPU statute, which is prepared by non-experts , without a deeper knowledge of the functioning of the FPU and its processes and without the participation of the professional public. The statute presented in this way is against the law in several points, it de facto cancels the structure of support activities and does not allow for the smooth continuation of the FPU's activities. If it is approved, the calls for 2025 will be in jeopardy, including the calls that have already been announced.
The cultural community responded with an open letter to the Minister of Culture, in which it requests the removal of the illegal situation in the Council of the Fund for the Support of Art, primarily by recalling illegally elected members of the Council of the FPU.
the needs of the applicant
We request the Ministry of Culture:
➡️ immediately carry out corrections and recall illegitimately elected membership of the FPU Council
➡️ in cooperation with the professional public to prepare an amendment to the law that will eliminate its main shortcomings
👉Join us!
15. On January 1st on Cukrova Street in Bratislava, we will once again stand up for Slovak culture, which has been under the attack of incompetence and chaos for a long time.
Let's not watch silently as they destroy what unites us all!
⏰ We will adjust the length of the meeting on the spot according to the length of the FPU Council meeting, max. until 8:00 p.m.
✊ Let's stand up for FPU, for culture, for the future of Slovakia!
