COME AND STAND FOR ENDANGERED SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES!
FOR THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE HARMFUL SCHOOL LAW FROM MINISTER T. DRUCKER'S WORKSHOP, which:
- weakens the constitutional rights of parents in the education of their own children and the free choice of schools
- introduces widespread compulsory attendance at kindergarten from the age of 3 - which dangerously changes the paradigm that education parents are primarily responsible for their children and not the state
- restricts home education, as well as educational opportunities for children with special needs
- discriminates against children attending church and private schools and school facilities and their parents by unfairly reducing standards, which can actually threaten the existence of some schools, or significantly increase fees for parents
- strengthens state control over non-state schools, centralizes too much instead of healthy decentralization
FOR THE CORRECTION OF UNFAIR CONSOLIDATION, which:
- has very negative economic, social and cultural impacts
- threatens the standard of living of families with children, workers and entrepreneurs and transfers the burden to them consolidation instead of more significant savings on the part of the state
- causes the erosion of international agreements by disrupting work peace during important church holidays, as well as damaging national and cultural identity (the feast of the Sorrowful Virgin Mary, the patroness of Slovakia) and national memory (Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy) WHAT DOESN'T WORK!
At the protest rally called by civic initiatives and associations, public figures from professional fields, culture, politics, civil society and churches will speak.
We are not talking about politics, we are talking about good politicians.
Functional education and a prosperous economy are key areas of public and national-state interest, they directly affect each of us, therefore it must be a matter for us, and others, e.g. coalition-opposition divisions must be put aside. We stand for reasonable and fair laws, against unreasonable and unjust laws. We are looking for real solutions that solve problems, not those that generate new problems instead of solutions.
Through this gathering, we also want to contribute to strengthening the cohesion of Slovakia and the culture of our public discussion on important topics.
