Povídání s Norbertem Schmidtem a Václavem Sokolem

We invite you to a meeting at the Abundance exhibition with Václav Sokol and the curator of artistic interventions in the Church of the Holy Salvator near the Charles Bridge, architect Norbert Schmidt, author of the book Intercession for the Present - Art in the Sacred Space. a ship on the surface of the water, light penetrating the darkness, a grape of wine or a glass on the table. We know simple motifs from biblical stories and from our own lives. In the drawings, the old language of symbols comes to life, in which the whole world was once told.
Ancient metaphors connected with spiritual religious experience repeatedly became the language of revolt, an island of resistance in the twentieth century. Remember Karel Kryl's Madonna of Silent Pain, the sung sermons of Svatopluk Karásk, folk songs interpreted by Jaroslav Hutka or the poems of Ivan Martin Jirous.
