M.Sc. Vera Polochová | White mistletoe (Viscum album) is a semi-paradist shrub that attacks a wide range of woody species and in the last decade has an expansive character not only in the Moravian-Silesian Region. In recent years, due to the expansion of the range of occurrence, attention has been focused on methods of mistletoe disposal, especially with regard to limiting its spread.
We will also discuss the advantages and disadvantages of individual methods of mistletoe removal and the reaction of mistletoe to spraying after the presentation of full photo documentation from 25 locations with dozens of tree species in the Moravian-Silesian and Zlín regions. At the same time, methods of financing the removal of mistletoe from subsidy programs administered by the MoE and tips for processing project documentation for potential applications will be presented.
