Get to know your translator, this time a little different.
The June translation meeting will be dedicated to the memory of the recently deceased Peruvian wearer of the Nobel Prize for Literature (2010) Maria Vargas Llos (1936-2025). His name and work are well known in the Czech cultural environment, so we look at it a little from a different point of view.
The invitation was accepted by the most competent, ie those who penetrated the author's work: translator Anežka Charvátová, who has made translations of Vargas Llos's novels as an interview at the cathedral, narrator, five -year -old; And Jan Hloušek, who translated the novel Praise Macey, but he has the merit of introducing the Peruvian Nobelista into the Czech environment as an editor of the "socialist" Odeon.
And if you attended school and reading one of Vargas Llos' novels you missed you, come on Tuesday, June 3 at 18:00 to the Buben, cozy cafes behind the school, where you can get to know both the novels and their translator and translator.
