About event
Due to Martina Šimkovičová and Lukáš Machala, the Slovak culture is gradually collapsing.
Destruction of cultural institutions, decomposition of the art fund, threats to Slovak monuments, disturbance of cultural events, censorship in the public service media. Thousands of cultural workers fall since exhaustion. For more than a year, they have to face attacks by the Ministry of Culture and from the Ministry of Nominated People in various positions. Yet they fight because they do not want to let the culture fall.
With a symbolic 24-hour performance for which we borrowed the name "Beware, Culture falls!" Institutions, people, financial support fall, our reputation is falling abroad. How long can we resist? And what happens if we don't know how to stand up?
⏰ 24. 4. 20:30 - 25. 4. 20:30 (continuously)
📍 Before MK SR
🙏 We thank the platforms Open Culture for help and support! And the shock! Student for open culture!, Network of Cultural Centers and Organizations - Antenna, Student from the Academy of Performing Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Michaela Bednárová (Puojd), all participating performers and performers from all over Slovakia.
