About event
The craft has a Golden Bottom
- it is not about physical gold, but the one we find in the middle of the Heart
- we learn how to get to it using the most ritualized craft of our ancestors: spinning threads and weaving fabrics
- this is an imitation of the mythical creation of the World
- you are ready for this sacred path that our ancestors passed every winter to help restore the world in the spring period?
What awaits us together:
1. preparation of plant and animal material using prehistoric techniques
2. spinning on a spindle, twisting on a spindle, winding on a motor fork, spinning a spinning wheel
3. thread weaving, thread tensioning and loom preparation
4. weaving
5. finishing works
Interspersed with mythical stories, fairy tales, memories and magical techniques.

Chaos/ Preparation of material - we will tell traditional stories about the Creation of the World from Chaos; we will show the processing of plant materials and learn how to clean and comb sheep's wool

Uniqueness and Togetherness/ Thread spinning and multi-thread twisting - we will talk about what folk ideas reveal to us about the Thread of Life, what the Golden Thread spun and how the spindle becomes a magical tool, let's talk with the Spiral as a symbol and its place in the myth of Creation; we will spin threads from sheep's wool, we will show different types of spindles and learn how to spin a spinning wheel, we will create a skein

Labyrinth and Dreaming / pitchfork and ball - we will show the difference between a maze and a labyrinth, we will find out what the Labyrinth Path is, we will remember magical acts from ethnological field research, we will learn the meaning of dreaming in traditional culture and natural nations; we will prepare skeins and balls, weave the warp on the weaving frame
4th Saturday 25.1.2025
Tension and Play/ Weaving - we will tell a mythical story about tuning a stringed instrument, about what it has in common Weaving and Music; we will show different looms and tools, we will weave a simple fabric
5. Saturday 8 February 2025
Three Weavers/ One Story - we will tell the European myth about the creation of Time; we will finish our creation and go through the initiation ceremony
